Shire Hall, Chelmsford"Heritage Open Days"
By CARS Members
Over the two autumn weekends, CARS was part of the Wireless demo/outreach team at Heritage Open Days at the Shire Hall, Chelmsford.
The event marked the original "Marconi & Essex Manufacturers Exhibition" that took place in the Shire Hall in November-1900. with hundreds of visitors, it was a major opportunity to meet/greet, learn about amateur radio / training, or get hands-on with a classic Morse key!
The events ran on the two weekends of Sep-12/13 and Sep-19/20, 10am to 4pm and supported by colleagues at BAE Systems and RSGB Region-12.
