Dr Geoff Bowles welcomed everyone and gave a short intoduction where he pointed out that the Marconi Hut behind was provided by Marconi's for the early Broadcasting to Radio Amateurs - before there was professional Broadcasting.

He said that CARS operated whenever Sandford Mill was open and that the Friends of the Museum provided the refreshments - hot drinks were needed as unfortunately the building was unheated.
