Brian G3CVI retired after 25 years as CARS Treasurer at the October 2014 AGM. Brian was also Membership Secretary and played a leading role for Sandford Mill events. Below are pictures from a presentation made to him by President Carl G3PEM and Chairman John G1UZD. The certificate marks Brian being made an honorary member in recognition of his long service to CARS.
Background:
Brian had an ‘apprenticeship’ as Treasurer's assistant under previous Treasurer Bill Cole G4JUW. Following Bill stepping down, Brian G3CVI became CARS Treasurer at the 1989 AGM (See CARS Newsletter-286, Nov-1989)
