CARS Awarded the Kenwood Trophy

At the RSGB Board Meeting at Blackpool on 17th March 2007, CARS were unanimously awarded the Kenwood Trophy for "making significant contributions to Training and Development in Amateur Radio within the United Kingdom".

Most of the CARS Training Team travelled to Edinburgh to the RSGB AGM on 28th April 2007 to be presented with the Trophy (less Carl G3PEM who had a prior engagement).

The entire AGM event was very well organised and attended. In the evening they attended the RSGB Dinner with the Inventor, Mr Trevor Baylis (of Windup Radio fame) as the Guest Speaker.

After the Microwave presentation by John Wood, G4EAT at the May CARS Meeting in MASC, Murray G6JYB gave a Powerpoint presentation of the weekend in Scotland.

The Kenwood Trophy was put on display for the large audience to admire.
