Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society G0MWT, GX0MWT, GB5HF, GB5SM, GB2TAM, M2T, GB100MWT, G100RSGB & GB5RVA August Big Weekend - 2016

August Big Weekend Sat/Sun 6/7-Aug-2016, 10am - 4pm Sandford Mill

CARS were at Sandford Mill on Saturday and Sunday 6/7 August supporting the family Big Weekend event which included the full panoply of Marconi and other exhibits; BBC Essex; canoes, archery and trebuchet demos, and talks on Marconi by Tim Wander.

Saturday: had a Morse code theme with our CW team operating from the 2MT Writtle Hut and our interactive Morse Key Demo on the mezzanine floor

Sunday: Had a variety of hands-on and other demos including software defined radio - with BBC Essex on site too

We were operating club call GX0MWT in a relaxed manner on CW, AM (1154/5) and VHF-FM
