Science Discovery Days - 2017
CARS were present at Sandford Mill on Sunday 9th July for the first of two Science Discovery Days in 2017. The warm sunny weather prompted a good turnout including plenty of youngsters and was ideal for our outdoor demos.

The event was an ideal opportunity for those with a love of nature and a sense of adventure including archery, blacksmith demo, and traction engine rides. Chris G0IPU had coordinated the CARS activity outside in a Gazebo with:

  • Radio controlled camera cars
  • Radio direction finding
  • Hands-on Snap Circuits
  • Paper rockets
  • VHF/UHF radio station
Other demos on the day included a TV demo in the main building. In practice it was a bit of a family affair with Chis G0IPU, XYL, brother and sons all assisting.
